Instant messaging allows you to exchange real time messages with other people over the Internet. To send and receive instant messages, you need a connection to the Internet and instant messaging software.

The VistaNet Messenger is faster than e-mail and best of all, it's FREE to VistaNet customers. Set up your IM with a list of friends who also use IM so you can see when each friend is online at any particular moment and begin a conversation with them quickly and easily.

Getting Started:
Download and install the VistaNet IM

Click here to go to the VistaNet Members area where you will be able to download the VistaNet IM executable file. Only after logging into the "member's area," will you be able to download the Instant Messenger.

You must have an Internet access account with us before you can access and use the Instant Messenger. Click here to sign up for an Internet access account.

Installing the VistaNet IM

When the Windows download is complete, exit the browser and close all other programs. Locate the file on your computer and double-click it. This will start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Instant Messenger.

Note: If the Instant Messenger has already been installed on this machine you will be prompted to Modify, Repair, or Remove the application. Choose to remove the application. When it is finished, double-click on the installation file again and follow the instructions to install the new Instant Messenger.

VistaNet IM Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble running the VistaNet IM after installing it, reboot your computer and restart the program. If at any time you need assistance, please contact our technical support department click here.
